#112: The Role of a Non Executive Director – Professor Tony Warne

In this episode, I interview Professor Tony Warne who works at The University of Salford. He's also a Non-Executive Director. He used to be an Associate Pro Vice Chancellor and has got a background in Mental Health Care Services.

Tony joins me on the podcast today to talk about the role of a Non-Executive Director, writing his blog every Sunday for the past 12 years, mentorship and talking us through what it takes to get a PhD.

“I’m a great believer in mentors and one of the most privileged things I had when I was the Dean of the school was to mentor people’s careers, and for me that was one of the most rewarding things that I could do was to use my experience to open doors for people”. Tony Warne
