#156 A Sense of Responsibility to Speak Out - with Cedi Frederick
Welcome back to the Business of Healthcare Podcast – this episode is extremely, extremely special to me. I had the absolute pleasure of interviewing Cedi Frederick. Cedi is the Chair at NHS Middlesex University Hospital, he is an entrepreneur, a coach and mentor and he also sits as a Non Executive Director.
Cedi’s background is in both public and private sectors and for over 25 years held a chief executive level positions in housing associations, social care and organisations that support older people living with learning disabilities, autism and mental health problems.
We had a very open and honest conversation around out of the 233 trusts that are currently here in the NHS, only 10 Chair positions are held by people from an ethnic minority background, we discussed our thoughts and feeling around this.
It doesn’t matter what colour you are or from what background, I truly feel it is a powerful discussion which everyone will benefit from hearing.
