The Business of Healthcare Podcast with Tara Humphrey

Feb 24, 2022

Welcome back to The Business of Healthcare Podcast.  This week I have the pleasure of speaking with the inspirational Peter McCleave. For those of you who listen to the podcast regulary, you will have heard a segment in the episodes where I talk about an organisation called DKMS. DKMS are dedicated to getting as many people as possible on the blood stem cell registry. Today we hear about Pete’s mission to help as many people as possible to find their genetic twin.  Back in 2016 Pete was told that he had Myeloma and was given 7 years to live. Pete started https://www.10000donors.com/ to be doing something proactive not just to help himself but to help other people who are in a similar situation.  "I believe every single one of us has a genetic twin somewhere in the world, if you can find your genetic twin and you happen to need a stem cell transplant, they can be donated to someone in need like myself and grow into healthy cells"

If you can do one thing today it would be to listen to this this podcast, SHARE this podcast and check out www.10000donors.com to help support Pete McCleave in his quest to find his Blood Stem Cell Match.
