The Business of Healthcare Podcast with Tara Humphrey

Aug 26, 2021

158 Leaving the NHS with Dr Rachael Rooney

In today’s episode I am talking with the wonderful Dr Rachael Rooney. Rachael is a GP by background and now specialises in providing lifestyle medicine and advice.  Rachael talks about the push and pull factors, which led to her stepping out of her general practice. We also talk about the doctor title and how important it is to Rachel, whether she's going to be using it or not. We discuss the importance of putting yourself first and saying no, and not feeling bad about it and managing your time, managing your energy,  listening to your thoughts and managing your mind. I really, really enjoyed it. It's really thought provoking and an excellent episode.
